Yesterday marked the first anniversary of actor Paul Walker’s tragic death. The Fast and Furious star unexpectedly died in a car crash in Santa Clarita, California at the tender age of 40.

Paul Walker began his career with guest appearances on soap operas in the 90’s but gained most of his recognition on the big screen. Paul was a true Cali kid, being born and raised in the Los Angeles area. He blessed us with some great performances in movies including in his best known role as Brian O’Connor in The Fast and the Furious franchise. At the time of his death, Walker was filming the series’ seventh installment, which is set to hit theaters in April 2015.

Walker is survived by his two sisters, two brothers (who filled in for Walker in Furious 7), and his 16-year-old daughter Meadow Rain Walker. Over here at the brand we remember the life of Paul Walker especially through film. Check out a gallery from some of his iconic roles and see if you pick them out. Following his death, The Fast and the Furious franchise released a touching video tribute to commemorate the star (below). Please donate to his foundation Reach Out Worldwide which he happened to be doing work for at the time of his death. #RIPPaulWalker
