Jean-Michel Basquiat’s spirit and Art seems to be still alive and well today. The artist’s works have been kept preserved and alive thanks to many tastemakers all over the world from different mediums. Brands like Supreme and Reebok have had collaborative collections using the works of J.M. Basquiat. KOMONO is the most recent Brand to team up and create wearable art with its Spring/Summer 2014 watch collection.

The collection is a continuance of a trend to create “wearable art”. This collaboration includes six watches that are adorned with Basquiat’s 1980’s artwork. The pieces are used to design popular watch models from the brand. The Magnus, Winston, and Wizard model watches are included in the collection. Each piece has a one-of-a-kind unique printed fabric wristband. Some of the watches even have engraved faces. The watches all carry the signature Japanese quartz movement and are water resistant to 100 ft. Check the Hypebeast online store for pricing and purchase information.
