Back in 2008, Heath Ledger created a journal for his role as The Joker in 2008’s The Dark Knight. It has since then finally surfaced online.
To Young To Die– a documentary released in 2013 which focused on the late actor’s life has been leaked on Reddit.
The clip shows Heath Ledger’s father talking about that very journal and went through some pages which had playing cards, scenes from old Batman comics, and more.
His father said: “So this is the diary – he pretty well locked himself up in a hotel room for a month or so to galvanise the upcoming character in his own mind.”
“That was typical of Heath on any movie, he would certainly immerse himself in the character and I think this was just a whole new level.”
The actor’s interpretation of the clown prince of crime would end up getting him an Oscar in 2009.
Heath Ledger died in January 2008 at the age of 28 from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.
